Freeze-Dried Rabbit Plasma

Principle：

  The bacteria produce plasma coagulase and release it into plasma, which is called free coagulase. Instead of acting directly on plasma fibrinogen, the bacteria become heat-resistant coagulase-like substance after being activated by plasma activator (i.e. Coagulase activator), which changes into solid fibrinogen,and the plasma coagulates. Pathogenic staphylococci produce coagulase.

Typical Ingredients：

  Feeze-dried rabbit plasma、Sodium citrate

Storage conditions & shelf time:

  1. Keep in dark place at 2℃-25℃, humidity≤80%

  2. Shelf time: One year under storage conditions.

Sample requirement:

  The collection, storage, treatment and transportation of samples should be strictly conducted sterile operation to avoid contamination

Directions:

   Method 1: Open in the direction of the arrow and tear down the aluminum foil cover, each penicillin bottle add 0.5ml sterile saline, gently shake until completely dissolved, then add 0.3 ml (SN))or 0.2 ml - 0.3 ml (GB) broth cultures, mix thoroughly, cultivate at 36±1℃.

 Method 2: Open in the direction of the arrow and tear down the aluminum foil cover, each penicillin bottle add 0.8ml broth cultures, gently shake until completely dissolved, cultivate at 36±1℃.

Reference value (reference range):

The blank control should be no bacterial growth

Interpretation:

   Observe every half an hour, for 6 hours. If it coagulates (i.e. clots appears when inclined or inverted) ,or the volume of coagulation is greater than half of the original volume, it is determinedas a positive result.
